Rainhard Brewing is an independent, owner-operated craft brewery located in Toronto's Junction Triangle. Position Summary

Rainhard Brewing is seeking an experienced Brewer to join our production team. This role is responsible for executing all aspects of beer production, from brewing and cellar operations to packaging support and quality control. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the consistency, quality, and reliability of Rainhard's beer portfolio while contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the brewery.

Working closely with ownership and the production team, the Brewer will help ensure that every beer meets the standards our customers have come to expect while supporting process improvements, new product development, and day-to-day brewery operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

             BREWING

 

• Lead day-to-day brewing and cellaring operations while ensuring consistency with Rainhard's recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain brewhouse, fermentation, packaging, and draft equipment.
• Perform all cellar operations including transfers, dry hopping, yeast management, carbonation, filtration (where applicable), and tank cleaning.
• Assist packaging manager with operating the canning line, and kegging, and other formats while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
• Conduct routine quality control checks throughout the brewing and packaging process.
• Monitor fermentation performance and make process adjustments as required.
• Maintain accurate production, inventory, and quality assurance records.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of brewery equipment.
• Manage raw material handling, inventory organization, and brewery cleanliness.
• Work closely with ownership and the production team to improve processes and maintain production schedules.
• Participate in recipe development, pilot brewing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support brewery events, collaborations, and special projects when required.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment at all times.

 

What We're Looking For

• Experience in commercial brewing, cellar operations, or beverage manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of brewing science, fermentation management, and quality control.
• Comfortable operating production equipment and performing routine maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily production responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing exceptional beer.
• Ability to lift 25kg (55 lbs) repeatedly and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and willingness to contribute to a small, collaborative team.

 

 

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Prior brewing experience is necessary (1-2 years)
• Self-motivated, organized and attention to detail
• Strong sense of priority in a fast paced environment
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Basic computer skills
