Tap Room and Events Associate
Rainhard Brewing Co. – Toronto, ON
Part-Time, Hourly (3-5 shifts per week)

We are looking for an outgoing individual that will take Rainhard Brewing’s event and tap room service to the next level. Our ideal candidate will represent our brand at our on-site tap room and event space, as well as external events. The ability to self-manage, while working congruently with the production and sales team will be key in this position. This position is not just a regular tap room role. They will be a key part of our small family that works hand in hand with all facets of our business.

What the position entails:
Be the face of the company. You are the first and last person our guests see. As a Tap
Room associate, you will run our tap room and retail storefront, while assisting with fulfilling and packaging online orders. Weekly cross-functional meetings with all jobs in the brewery will be key to the success in this role as you assist in the development and
execution of internal and external events. You will attend external events (farmers markets, food truck events, and the occasional festival), and be expected to handle all duties of setup and tear down, inventory monitoring, and remuneration.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Open and/or close tap room
- Daily cash handling and balancing of POS/Register
- Handle all POS transactions and cash register closing for daily sales
- Ensuring all opening and closing duties are carried out
- Maintain outdoor patio while servicing tap room and take-out orders
- Overseeing Shopify online orders and packaging
- Oversee retail stock items (merch, chips, drinks)
- Perform occasional tours of the brewery
- Maintain an engaging and intimate tap room experience
- Event set up and tear down (occasional events and festivals)
- Assist with pre-event planning
- Adhering to local health and safety codes while handing product
Requirements:
- Valid G drivers license and access to a vehicle is preferred (Not mandatory)
- Must be 19 years of age or older- Smartserve certified
- Prior serving experience is highly valued
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
- Effective communication and customer service skills
